The Adoption Process

Bringing a Bella Vie kitten home is a personal journey — one we take alongside you from the very first inquiry to the day your kitten arrives. Here is what to expect.

The Waiting List

Our waiting list is the starting point for families interested in a Bella Vie kitten. Once you join, we will reach out when kittens become available that may be a great match for your family.

Depending on the kitten group or category you are interested in, we may invite waiting-list families to a video call as part of the reservation process. Categories may include:

Golden Shaded British Shorthair
Golden Point British Shorthair
British Longhair
Pet A Level
Pet S Level

We will always communicate clearly about which categories apply and what the next steps are for your family.

The Kitten Journey

Step 1 — 3 to 4 Months: Evaluation & Reservation

Each kitten is carefully evaluated as they mature, with attention to their eyes, nose, ears, mouth, bone structure, overall development, and other characteristics considered by Bella Vie. Pricing may reflect the kitten’s development and evaluation over time.

During this period, waiting-list families may be invited to participate in a video call to meet the kitten and learn more about the reservation process.

Step 2 — 30% Deposit

To reserve your kitten, a deposit of 30% of the kitten’s purchase price is required. At this time, a contract and applicable warranty information are provided. Your deposit secures your place and confirms the reservation.

Step 3 — 3 to 5 Months: Vaccinations & Updates

Your kitten receives their first-year vaccinations as provided by Bella Vie. Once reserved, families typically receive updated photos and videos twice weekly, or at minimum once weekly, so you can follow every milestone.

Step 4 — Before Spay / Neuter

Approximately one week before your kitten’s spay or neuter procedure, an additional 30% of the full kitten price is required. Pickup and delivery arrangements can begin around this time.

Step 5 — Recovery

Bella Vie cares for your kitten through their recovery and prepares them for their transition home. During this time we continue to monitor their health and comfort closely.

Step 6 — Going Home

When your kitten is ready, we provide all the information and support you need to welcome them into your home. Bella Vie provides complimentary pet insurance as described in your contract and remains available for ongoing support long after your kitten settles in.
